    Job Description

    Job Summary

    The Human Resources (HR) Coordinator oversees smooth and effective recruitment and onboarding for the Welcome Center in Phoenix.  The position will also provide aligned recruitment services for the Welcome Center, including administration of offer letters, new hire forms, vacancy tracking, and turnover metrics. The position will support onboarding in the Welcome Center and be present for general HR counsel a minimum of three days per week. 

     

    Major Responsibilities:

    • Human Resources Administration
    • Serve as an internal resource for recruitment efforts for the Welcome Center.
    • Provide administrative recruitment support to Welcome Center, including filing of new hire forms, tracking time to post and time to fill.
    • Work with hiring managers to develop job descriptions for new roles.  Use internal resources to ensure job descriptions are in alignment with salary levels and titling practices.
    • Post any locally managed requisitions in the applicant tracking recruitment system.
    • Screen candidates and/or serve as a neutral interviewer on request, particularly for locally managed requisitions.
    • Coordinate with HQ recruiters on job offers as needed.
    • Review offer letters sent to new hires.
    • Send first day emails to new hires prior to start date, notify front desks of upcoming new hires.
    • Conduct Welcome Center onboarding.
    • Ensure all Welcome Center I-9 documents are completed in a timely manner.
    • Escalate issues to the HR Manager and connect staff with appropriate HR-related training and other resources.

    Job Requirements:

    Education

    Bachelor’s degree or equivalent directly related experience required.

    Work Experience

    Minimum 3 years of related professional experience.

    Language Skills

    Fluency in English required. Fluency in Spanish preferred.

    • Ability to work both independently and in a dynamic, cross-functional global team structure.
    • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
    • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
    • Ability to manage and work through change in a proactive and positive manner.
    • Ability to work some evenings and weekends as needed.
    • Valid driver’s license and access to a personal, insured vehicle.
    • In accordance with Arizona State law, must possess or be eligible to receive a fingerprint clearance card.

    Work Environment:

    • Standard office work environment combined with some travel throughout service delivery area.
    • Ability to safely lift 30 pounds.
