Jones-Hamilton Co. is seeking a full time Human Resource Manager located in the Toledo, Ohio area (Corporate office).
The candidate must have a minimum of eight (8) years Human Resources/Business Management experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment, and will serve as a business partner to the entire organization.
Ideal candidate must have experience as follows:
· Ability to perform successfully at strategic and operational levels.
· Demonstrated ability to partner and build rapport with internal and remote employees.
· Successful history of recruiting new employees at all levels.
· Knowledge of benefits and compensation administration.
· Developing & implementing corporate policies/procedures.
· Training/coaching employees and managers.
· Performance management.
· Solid knowledge in employment law and demonstrated experience in managing employee relations issues.
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
· The ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multi-task and prioritize work based on business needs.
· Strong project management and presentation skills.
· Ability to negotiate and influence on HR issues.
Qualifications:
· Proven working experience in human resource field, with minimum of eight (8) years experience, preferably with a manufacturing company.
· Ability to work independently and prioritize work, interact, and communicate at all levels of the business with ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
· Ability to foster a team attitude and to counsel individuals to improve their skills and abilities.
· Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field. Masters degree, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification a plus.
· Proficient in use of Microsoft Office business application (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and ADP (preferred).
· Understanding of ESOP and 401(k) plans preferred.
· Strong knowledge of employment law and regulations and ability to stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in human resource management.
· 20% domestic travel required.
