    POSITION SUMMARY

    The Lending Training Manager is a Band 6 Process Manager role in the Training, Education and Development Resource Center. Is responsible for lender training - planning, oversight and implementation with our three lending areas; mortgage, consumer and commercial. Works closely with the different lending leaders and specifically the CLO (for consistency and coordination), regarding current and future lending training needs, gaps, strategy, KPI’s, reporting and how to best utilize the data and information as leaders for coaching and accountability. The focus and goal is to increase the individual and overall knowledge of setting expectations with members and partners, system usage, conversations/communication/notes, structuring, cross selling, referrals, documentation, and loan/product offerings.

    PERFORMANCE STANDARDS

    What does this position do?
    Motivates the team to achieve organizational goals and objectives by providing honest and timely feedback on individual and organizational progress and performance. Provides operational oversight of all lending performance improvement workshops and strategies by working directly with the branch and corporate trainers. Provides recommendations of how to optimize the development strategies by identifying the ideal use of our team’s time, talent, and efforts using talent management tools and technology. Creates lending development strategies for human talent and provides analysis and support to Resource Centers, Branches, and Departments on a monthly basis. Assimilates information and summarizes findings, explains trends, and recommends changes to increase productivity by maintaining a positive rapport with both manager and the employee. Measures methods to facilitate learning to evaluate results and effectiveness then modifies programs as needed.

    Routinely collaborates with all resource centers to ensure that communication is consistent and that team member and membership needs are met in a timely and efficient manner. Communicates on continuous basis with vendors and internal members to ensure all components of the process are accurately completed. Utilizes productive decision-making to thoroughly understand the information and discern which pieces are necessary for the process and what needs to be done with it to achieve the best result. Mitigates risks by collaborating with impacted team members to identify opportunities for improvement and knows how to link human performance with business needs. Consults with program, process and project owners or leaders to identify and communicate risks that impact human talent. Constructs and delivers customized development solutions that will close performance development gaps.

    Achieves desired results through others with proper coaching and accountability and holding self and others accountable to produce the needed results. Ensures team members provide reliable information, analysis and support to positively impact our key strategic initiatives. Productive and effective decisions and the ability to leverage resources appropriately is key to achieving support standards. Forecasts implementation strategies by analyzing trends and development needs by working with individual Resource Centers and teams. Conducts peer to peer, individual, and team coaching and development sessions. Facilitates and creates customized workshop solutions to provide in-person and virtual options for ongoing development of Team3.

Creates and implements development strategies that improve performance at all stages of employee life from new hire to seasoned pro.

    EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

    • Bachelor’s degree in business-related field or equivalent work experience
    • Lending experience and knowledge
    • 3-5 years’ experience in management or equivalent MT program development
