Position Purpose
The Area Sales Manager is the key Sales leader responsible for meeting sales objectives and driving profitable growth through the development of their sales team, direct management of strategic accounts, and driving business development. This leader must possess excellent leadership attributes, have a hands-on approach to delivering results, achieve exemplary sales with operational skills, all while instilling in their team a passion for success.
Primary responsibilities :
• Responsible for outsized market growth for the Michigan/East Division of Saxco. Must use data and reporting to understand and direct the sales and operations within the territory to achieve profitable growth.
• Ensure process excellence for the division. Work cross-functionally to engage with procurement, S&OP, operations, transportation, and others to ensure success.
• Create and promote Saxco’s winning culture through examples and behaviors. A culture of collaboration, results-orientation, and open and productive communication.
• Manage and develop direct reports (Outside & Inside sales reps)
• Guide, train, and develop sales talent to ensure consistent YOY growth in the territory.
• Develop strategies to enable growth of revenue from existing customers.
• Engage in customer relationship development and contract negotiations.
• Ensure adherence to responsibilities in the CRM.
