International Lending Manager manages and directs all activities regarding a financial institution's international loan operations for a region. Ensures compliance with established international policies, standards, and reporting requirements. Role
Responsible for monitoring the progress and quality of work in the Consumer Loan Department. Monitor the activities of team members by assigning work, answering questions, solving problems, helping with complex questions, explaining policies and procedures to members and staff. Must have consumer lending experience including 1st mortgages and home equity products.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
1. Hire, Reviews, Terminates, Schedules and Monitors work of lending and collection employees.
2. Review and approve/deny loan applications.
3. Serve as a resource for other loan officers.
4. Comply with MLO registration procedures as required by SAFE Act.
5. Oversee completion of periodic reviews of LOC loans.
6. Review and underwrite requests for extensions, loan modifications and workout loans.
7. Assist with training for lending and collection teams.
8. Assist with the development and implementation of promotions to achieve lending and collection goals.
9. Act as a backup to the Financial Services Manager.
Experience
Minimum of 5 years supervisory experience with a minimum of 3 years in a lending capacity.
Strong knowledge of loan origination, processing and underwriting.
Familiarity with TILA, regulations and contract requirements; Reg Z and CARD Act familiarity.
Proven track record of successfully managing a team of Loan Officers and Collection Officers.
Excellent math skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze complex financial information.
