Program Manager, ND International Security Center.

The Program Manager will report to the director of the
Notre Dame International Security Center and support the activities of the center, director, associate directors, and faculty. These duties include management for all of the center's activities including the NDISC Undergraduate Certificate Program, budget, accounting and financial reporting. Additionally, this position plans the center's events including the regular seminar series and its podcast, the occasional named talks, yearly conferences, and coordinating the center's Policy Brief series.
Essential Duties
- Develop and maintain the budgeting, accounting, and financial reporting for all endowment, gift, internal and externally sponsored (ie grant/contract) funds. Proficient knowledge of Excel and Access in order to generate new financial and budgeting monthly and annual reporting. Possesses knowledge of professional principles and skills, and can demonstrate skill in data analysis techniques by resolving missing, incomplete, or incorrect data. Creation and maintenance of a custom NDISC financial database.
- Schedule, plan, and execute center events largely, if not, entirely independently. Provides communication on progress and issues, and receives guidance on complex problems. Coordinate and support activities of other Center programs such as the Hans J. Morgenthua program.
- Support the director, associate directors, postdoctoral fellows, graduate students, and affiliates as it pertains to all center activities and funding. Works in compliance with established procedures and protocols, and identifies and resolves readily identifiable, clearly defined problems. Hiring, appointment, and management of staff, fellows, and student employees. Creation of the Undergraduate Certification Program custom database and structural maintenance of the database.
- Design and implement the center's marketing and communications plan. May have responsibility for developing, implementing and managing operating plans and goals and procedures. Performs creative works and scheduling of tasks and functions for ongoing marketing and communication execution. Proficient knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and InDesign is strongly recommended.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Masters degree or Bachelors degree (5 years) or advanced certification beyond Bachelors International Relations or another related field
- 5 to 6 years of professional work experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe InDesign.
- Basic accounting and budgeting concepts and reporting.
- Experience in event planning, marketing, and communications, and website maintenance.
- Basic technological troubleshooting skills.
