Responsibilities:
• Leader of International Logistics Operations execution for US Import and/or Export Operations
• Drive productivity projects by managing and optimizing lanes for the best cost, transit, and service for air, ocean, drayage, transload and trucking
• Lead or support productivity workshops to drive the pipeline of idea for continuous improvement
• Manage Air and Ocean freight spot quotes
• Manage or support drayage, transload and carrier network
• Create and maintain standard work and standard operating procedures that support the Strategy of International Logistics Operation
• Support programs for the roadmap framework at the corporate level, with a focus on operational cost, quality, delivery, and sustainable processes
• Support centralized management of international logistic operations, partnering with both internal and external parties including internal procurement, site materials teams, internal trade compliance, external brokers, NVOCCs, carriers, and freight alliances
• Support visibility solutions that enable users to seamlessly access and share data regarding logistics cost, transit times and real-time market conditions.
• In partnership with Procurement, track market conditions and provide alternative solutions to improve cost to serve based on evolving market conditions (manage transit & dwell of every point in process – dwell at manufacturing point, transit to port, dwell at port, ocean transit, dwell at arrival port and final mile delivery).
• Partnership with Procurement by analyzing all pieces of a door-to-door move based on cost to serve. Support procurement’s allocation process based on business forecast.
• Leverage cross-functional collaboration with procurement, freight pay & audit and trade compliance teammates to establish a clear definition of normal and abnormal conditions with KPI’s in international operations and assist with root cause analysis and resolution of abnormalities (e.g. rolled bookings, bookings accepted withing standard window, etc.)
• Support industry best practices to recommend and implement tactical solutions (process and technology) with internal clients and external service providers
• Track international shipments and manage exceptions to ensure timely delivery
• Partner with trade compliance related to international transaction holds, reviews and information needed to avoid supply chain disruption
• Partner with Logistics Procurement to ensure credit is in place to avoid carrier line holds
• Use visibility tools to help manage exceptions
• Support Freight Bill, Audit and Payment process and continuous improvement
• Assist with the development, implementation, and maintenance of standard operating procedures and work instructions to support functional area of responsibility as needed
• Liaison with internal departments across business units for issues related to international logistics
• Perform other duties associated with international logistics as required while maintaining a customer focused approach
• Support technology projects, including ocean visibility, booking or transportation management systems

• Expert understanding of Incoterms, customs formalities and rate structures for international air, ocean freight and drayage
• Undergraduate degree required
