POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Site Manager for the International Plaza is responsible for developing and implementing Market Days, promotions, additional community activities, and supporting special events. This position directs the operations, cleaning and maintenance of the International Plaza’s facilities and programs. The role requires a variety of duties associated with enforcing rules, regulations and ordinances governing the use and operation of International Plaza facilities. The position assists in marketing the site and acts as a resource and conduit to the community. Community engagement and resident input is critical to the success of the role. General supervisory support is received from the city of Rochester’s Supervisor of Markets. Collaboration with all Ibero enterprises to include the Ibero Business Center, Poder 97.1, and Ibero-American Action League is essential. Related work is performed as required.
Requirements
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Manages Market Days at the International Plaza on a weekly basis.
· Coordinates entertainment and budgets resources to support plaza activities.
· Organizes a community calendar and outreach to ensure residents in the neighborhood and a wider regional audience are aware of activities.
· Assists with preparing press releases and develops and posts social media content.
· Assists in planning special events and promotions outside of normal Market Days.
· Responsible for the opening, closing and operation of the International Plaza during normal operations and special events to include Sunday “Market Days.”
· May collect fees for rental or lease of International Plaza spaces/containers.
· Assigns and coordinates the work of laborers and contracted security staff.
· Acts as an arbitrator in settling disputes between buyer/seller, as necessary.
· Enforces International Plaza Rules, Regulations, and Procedures.
· Collaborates with the Ibero Business Center (IBC) for vendor engagement and support.
· Demonstrates an understanding of cultural competency, diversity, and inclusion.
· Additional duties as assigned by the Executive Vice President, or designee.
· Cultivates a positive environment, making the plaza the “place to be” for local entrepreneurship, cultural experiences and social connectivity.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSA’s):
· Knowledge of general clerical practices.

· Knowledge of the organization, operation, safety practices, and maintenance of the International Plaza.
· Ability to implement and enforce City and Bureau safety policies.
· Ability to engage residents in International Plaza planning.
POSITION MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
· Must be Bilingual in English and Spanish
· Associates degree or higher preferred, minimum high school diploma or equivalent PLUS:
· Three (3) years of experience in management of a business, marketing or public relations which included the following:
o Developing and implementing special events.
o Writing promotional materials, social media posts, or other material for public dissemination.
o Site management.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The position does require occasional standing, squatting, lifting of up to approximately 20 lbs. And frequent sitting.
