Position level may vary based on experience

This position will perform fiber procurement activities in support of the Franklin Mill and Butler Woodyard; be accountable to mill and region budget and fiber cost targets; be responsible for supplier compliance with appropriate EMS requirements, monitoring and scheduling fiber quality and flow to the facility, negotiating for and purchasing pulpwood and chips, contract administrative activities, and ensure contractor compliance in the field of operations. The position will also be responsible for compliance with all other safety, environmental, and government regulations that our business must follow.  The successful candidate will have their office based at the Franklin Fiber Supply office in Franklin, Virginia.  

QUALIFICATIONS:

BS Forestry or related field preferred, other degrees considered.  A minimum of two years of wood procurement or related experience is desired.  Employee must have demonstrated proficiency in analytical and communication skills.

Bachelor’s degree (Forestry, Business Management, Marketing, Logistics, Transportation, Purchasing, Operations Management, Materials Management, Supply Chain, or related field)
