International Trade Specialist is responsible for coordinating credit and financial activities and obtaining payments for import/export operations. Acts as an advisor on matters of tariffs, markets, and federal and foreign regulations. Being an International Trade Specialist ensures that all filings, documents, and regulatory reporting are completed accurately, in a timely manner, and according to trade laws. Keeps informed of international events and changes to laws and requirements that may impact operations. Additionally, International Trade Specialist may negotiate letters of credit or handle issues with international banks. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The International Trade Specialist gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.     In-Office Position

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Maintain benefit records and prepare necessary documents for implementation of coverage.
    • Conduct annual benefit meetings and advise employees on eligibility for insurance and other benefits and oversee the open enrollment and benefit renewal process.
    • Meet annually with FIBT benefit vendors to review plan performance and utilization. Make benefit enhancements and recommendations to the Executive Team and Board of Directors.
    • Manage medical leaves of absences under the FMLA, ADA and state and/or federal laws.
    • Update required benefits language on intranet with current SPD’s and plan documents.
    • Compile and file required benefits regulatory reports.
    • Maintain, create, and archive proper correspondence and legal files.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or other related field; and four to seven years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • A designation as a CEBS (Certified Employee Benefits Specialist) or similar designation is preferred.
    • Strong knowledge of employee benefits laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
    • Proficient in MS Office and HRIS software.
