Summary of Position Mission

The Quality Control Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring product quality and adherence to established standards within the organization. It is responsible for inspecting, testing, and evaluating products to identify defects or deviations from specifications. The specialist collaborates with production teams to implement quality control measures and procedures, conducts audits to assess compliance, and provides guidance on corrective actions when necessary. Additionally, this role maintains quality documentation and records, analyzes data to identify trends or areas for improvement, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Facilitate the daily disposition of all nonconforming materials.
• Liaison with all departments to ensure disposition of nonconforming containment is followed.
• Track and report daily and monthly quality reporting matrix.
• Track and report on all corrective actions.
• Inventory containment for all non-conforming materials.
• Maintain a supplier quality database.
• Ensure correct sampling plans are in place for quality activities per the quality control manual.
• Creation of new process control documents
• Photography related to process documentation.
• Maintenance of process control documents
• Works with operations to ensure that process documentation is properly given and displayed.
• Works with quality auditors to ensure that process documentation is being properly audited.
• Communicates process goals with involved parties (Operations, Engineering, Planning, IT)
