International Trade Specialist is responsible for coordinating credit and financial activities and obtaining payments for import/export operations. Acts as an advisor on matters of tariffs, markets, and federal and foreign regulations. Being an International Trade Specialist ensures that all filings, documents, and regulatory reporting are completed accurately, in a timely manner, and according to trade laws. Keeps informed of international events and changes to laws and requirements that may impact operations. Additionally, International Trade Specialist may negotiate letters of credit or handle issues with international banks. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The International Trade Specialist gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Scope of Work: NCG requires support to manage the Table of Allowance (TOA) of the NCFCCA, including the operational readiness, disposition, and inventory control of approximately 2,400 pieces of Civil Engineering Support Equipment (CESE) and its associated collateral equipment as well as non-CESE TOA, of approximately 400,000-line items. Support shall also include ensuring proper Work Center supervision of the 3-M maintenance and repair of all NCFCCA automotive, construction, Material Handling Equipment (MHE) and Weight Handling Equipment (WHE) and maintain and utilize the 3-M database in the performance of maintenance in support of (ISO). Overall, support is required for warehousing operation support such as receiving, storage and preparation of materiel for shipment required to provide life cycle operations to deploying Naval Mobile Construction Battalions (NMCB) and homeport facilities; perform functions required to assure operational pack-ups of TOA and Augment Tools (AT) are processed; for retrograde material, unpack and analyze for re-issue or disposal for NCG 1 and subordinate units.
