Interventional Radiological Technologist assists physicians in interventional procedures and provides diagnostic aid by conducting organ or body scans on patients. Administers and records isotope dosage in accordance with established departmental protocol. Being an Interventional Radiological Technologist observes patient during procedure and reports abnormal activity. Typically requires a bachelor's degree, at least 2 years of experience in radiology and registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Additionally, Interventional Radiological Technologist typically reports to a chief technologist or manager. Interventional Radiological Technologist's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Certification and/or licensing in the position's specialty is the main requirement.     This posting is for a full-time and part-time position at Providence Regional Medical Center

    Assist the interventional radiologist, vascular surgeon, physician assistant, nurse practitioner, neuro-interventional radiologist, or neuro surgeon with performing interventional radiology procedures including but not limited to diagnostic and therapeutic angiography of the head and body, venography, fistula grams, central line placement, biopsies, drainages, and pain injections. Typical roles performed during procedures are as circulator or scrub assist.

    Required Qualifications:

    • Associate's Degree Or
    • Coursework/Training Two year technical program
    • Completion of an approved radiology technologist training program
    • Upon hire: Washington Radiologic Technologist (Vendor Managed)
    • Upon hire: National Registered Technologist - Radiography - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Or
    • Upon hire: National Registered Technologist - Cardiac-Interventional Radiography Or
    • Upon hire: National Registered Technologist - Cardiovascular-Interventional Radiography Or
    • Upon hire: National Registered Technologist - Vascular-Interventional Radiography
    • Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Prior experience in Interventional Radiology
