Interventional Radiological Technologist jobs in Fayetteville, NC
Interventional Radiological Technologist assists physicians in interventional procedures and provides diagnostic aid by conducting organ or body scans on patients. Administers and records isotope dosage in accordance with established departmental protocol. Being an Interventional Radiological Technologist observes patient during procedure and reports abnormal activity. Typically requires a bachelor's degree, at least 2 years of experience in radiology and registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Additionally, Interventional Radiological Technologist typically reports to a chief technologist or manager. Interventional Radiological Technologist's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Certification and/or licensing in the position's specialty is the main requirement. Description:
The Radiologic Technologist is a registered professional who provides health care related imaging services to patients of a broad range of ages through the use of Diagnostic X-Rays. These images assist the Radiologist in the diagnosis of disease processes. The Radiologic Technologist's duties are performed within the framework of Sampson Regional Medical Center policies and procedures and current professional standards. The Radiologic Technologist will be competent in: diagnostic imaging, portable imaging, C-arm imaging and will be cross-trained to perform computed tomography exams.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program.
- Currently ARRT registered in Radiography.
- General knowledge of other imaging modalities preferred.
Hours:
Monday - Friday 7:00 am - 3:30 pm with rotating weekends. May work other hours for the effective operations of the department.
