Interventional Radiological Technologist assists physicians in interventional procedures and provides diagnostic aid by conducting organ or body scans on patients. Administers and records isotope dosage in accordance with established departmental protocol. Being an Interventional Radiological Technologist observes patient during procedure and reports abnormal activity. Typically requires a bachelor's degree, at least 2 years of experience in radiology and registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Additionally, Interventional Radiological Technologist typically reports to a chief technologist or manager. Interventional Radiological Technologist's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Certification and/or licensing in the position's specialty is the main requirement. JOB SUMMARY
Performs Radiologic examination on patients of all ages and provides Radiologist with finished exams for interpretation.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: See License and Certification.
Knowledge and Skills: Technologist must have good communication skills and work well within a team setting.
License/Certifications: An individual who holds and maintains (via required continuing education credits) current certifications from the ARRT, CRT, a California fluoroscopy permit, and American Heart Association (AHA) BLS card. New graduates, those that have just moved to California, or similar cases reviewed/approved by management, have 6 months to obtain the fluoroscopy after their start date.
Equipment: Personal computer, RIS, HIS, PACS, mobile and stationary radiographic equipment.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to perform the essential physical requirements of the job.
PAY RANGE
$32.26 - $48.40
