Interventional Radiological Technologist assists physicians in interventional procedures and provides diagnostic aid by conducting organ or body scans on patients. Administers and records isotope dosage in accordance with established departmental protocol. Being an Interventional Radiological Technologist observes patient during procedure and reports abnormal activity. Typically requires a bachelor's degree, at least 2 years of experience in radiology and registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Additionally, Interventional Radiological Technologist typically reports to a chief technologist or manager. Interventional Radiological Technologist's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Certification and/or licensing in the position's specialty is the main requirement. Scrubs and circulates neuro, vascular, and body IR cases - able to demonstrate technical skills and expertise; works closely with IR Attendings, APP's, RN's, and fellow technologists; utilizes Siemens and Philips imaging equipment to perform and post-process diagnostic and invasive interventional procedures. Provides high quality patient care and prioritizes radiation safety and infection prevention practices.
The schedule will rotate 3x10's 1st week, and 4x10's the 2nd week.
