  • Bollinger Shipyards is seeking an Oracle Applications Developer to join its team.

    Responsibilities include:

    • Responsible for software integration, external interface development and technical documentation
    • Gathering and analyzing business requirements/system requirements
    • Develops conversion and system implementation plans
    • Prepares and obtains approval of system and programming documentation
    • Recommends changes in development, maintenance and system standards
    • Coordinates system upgrade activity
    • Trains user personnel in the conversion and implementation of the system
    • General Support – The position will have support responsibilities specific to the supported applications. Support will require troubleshooting and problem resolution related to user and connectivity issues.
    • Responds to emergencies as needed
    • Work with the business functional areas to research and identify the best technical solution to support the most efficient business process
      • Documenting technical specifications/requirements
      • Adhere to development standards, processes, guidelines and procedures including Oracle A.I.M. Methodology
      • Produce unit test scripts and support all testing activities
      • Must possess excellent verbal and written communications skills
      • Must be able to communicate effectively and work with team members and members of other functional teams to coordinate and meet deliverables
      • Must be able to work in a fast paced environment with minimal supervision

    Requirements:
    • 3 years Oracle EBS functional development experience focusing on HR, Payroll, Procurement, Financials, Fixed Assets and Project Costing
    • PL/SQL development involving Oracle EBS Time and Labor, Human Resources and Financials suites including knowledge of the underlying data model as well as basic process and data flow
    • Hands on experience in development using best practices and standards on Oracle technologies
    • A proven track record developing and documenting systems requirements, and designing, prototyping and testing under multiple deadlines
    • Must have experience interfacing with functional end-users in developing required programs
    • Skilled at technical problem solving and software change management
    • R12, Toad experience a plus
    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field preferred

    Locations include in Lockport, Harvey, Metairie and Pascagoula.
