We help effectively match the right technology professional to their organization and this is a direct hire role. Our client in Albany, NY has an immediate need for an Applications Specialist. Salary range is 48-55K and requires on-site support. This is not a remote or hybrid role. 

Job Description

The Application Specialist will provide technical and user support and documentation for a subset of the software applications including Infor ERP, Centricity EHR, and Kronos. Acts as the liaison between application users and the IT department or software vendors. Assists with all of the activities required for design specifications, implementation, documentation and maintenance of application software. Responsible to work closely with the application users and software vendors to gain intricate knowledge of the applications supported.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in computer science or related degree or 4 years of equivalent experience. Bachelor's preferred
• Knowledge of software applications (i.e. ERP), time keeping applications (i.e. Kronos) Learning Management Systems.  Comprehension of database concepts
• Experience with MS Word , Excel and MSO365
• Install and upgrade software on client workstations
• Proven capability to document application functionality such as user documentation or training manuals
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• An understanding of project management processes
• Proven ability to lead small to medium projects as related to application support
• Aptitude for teaching or training users to use applications
• Must be able to work on a team and work independently  
• Ability to multi-task
• Reporting capacity using SQL, SSRS or Crystal Reports is a plus
