Intranet Applications Specialist - Web develops, implements, and maintains web-based application systems for an organization. Additionally, Intranet Applications Specialist - Web relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Description
Reporting to the Web Content Manager, this position serves as a member of the Global Marketing and Communications (GMC) web team to design, curate, build and edit webpages and other web content to support the University's enrollment and advancement goals. This position works with University faculty and staff to edit and design clear, concise and attractive content, within the requested deadline, and troubleshoot and assist with various web-related issues, as they arise. The Web Content Specialist uses knowledge of web technologies, trends and analytics to help maintain the University's analytics accounts, and provides reports and consultation, when requested, to inform the web team strategy.

Minimum Qualifications
Two-plus years of professional experience producing and editing content primarily for web deployment. Proficient in AP style writing, and knowledge of principles of design.
Bachelor's degree in communications, mass communications, marketing or related major.
Two-plus years of experience with interactive marketing, communications and/or information technology, including a solid understanding of search engine optimization and search engine marketing.
Strong website design skills and multimedia production skills with a portfolio of examples that demonstrate communications success. Writing proficiency, a plus.
Ability to successfully communicate technology concepts to colleagues with varied knowledge and experience in various software and processes, including OmniUpdate CMS or other CMS.
Skilled at Photoshop and other Adobe and multimedia products.
Ability to proactively identify opportunities to improve website and digital marketing efforts through the use of new technology, techniques and designs.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Modern Campus OmniUpdate CMS or other similar CMS.
Previous experience in higher education marketing, desired, but not required.
Familiarity with creating and assuring ADA-compliant digital and web content is in place.
Ability to assist developer with HTML coding and troubleshooting, a plus.
