Job Description and Requirements:
The Inventory Control Associate supports the accuracy and profitability of our inventory across all departments and materials. This is achieved by physically checking-in received products, ensuring location accuracy for salesfloor and backstock merchandise and routinely counting existing inventory. This position is also responsible for accurately recording damaged, defective and missing items and promptly reporting these issues to the Inventory Control Manager. Other responsibilities may be assigned and additional training provided over time.
Responsibilities specific to the Inventory Control Associate:
Be physically present for vendor deliveries; check-in materials, verifying receipt accuracy using the BOL or packing list; record any variance on the BOL or packing list and promptly communicate these variances to the Inventory Control Manager.
Create and maintain location labels for salesfloor and backstock or lumber yard storage. Communicate with store and lumber teams to ensure accurate placement of products using the location labels.
Perform daily cycle counts following the schedule set by the Inventory Control Manager to ensure all products are accurately counted and reconciled in the ERP system.
Look for and record damaged and defective merchandise by walking the store and lumber yard daily. Provide products, materials, or material lists and cut or mod forms to the Inventory Control Manager for inventory adjustment or vendor credit.
Check-In products or materials being returned for credit from customers to ensure saleable merchandise is returned to stock and non-saleable merchandise is removed from inventory within 24 hours of receipt in a company location.
Execute merchandising plans using planograms, displays, or drawings. Follow company merchandising standards for color, structure, capacity and overall product organization.

Execution of daily operational duties including product organization and store cleanliness.
Keep all machinery, equipment, and tools clean and in good working order for safe usage.
Report all issues regarding safety, waste, damage, equipment, accidents or customer concerns promptly to a member of Management.
Informs Inventory Control Manager promptly of suspected inventory shortage.
Requirements and Qualifications:
Ability to execute technical processes accurately and efficiently with a high attention to detail.
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels within the organization.
Able to lift up to 50 lbs. repeatedly.
Able to stand and move throughout the entire property for up to 8 hours.
Work under extreme heat or cold weather conditions.
Work safely around moving trucks and moving machinery/equipment.
Work a flexible schedule that includes weekends.
Ability to write, read, and communicate in English
