Inventory Analyst Job Description

We are looking for an analytical, skilled individual to join our team as an inventory analyst. The

responsibilities of the inventory analyst include managing inventory ite1ns, controlling day-to-day

inventory operations, and hnple1nenting inventory control protocols.

An Inventory Analyst enables an organization to function optimally b ensuring that all necessary

materials for production are in stock when needed. It is the Inventory Analyst's responsibility to

keep track of incoming products and to prevent a shortage of supply that could disrupt the

company's processes. They are responsible for documentir inventory totals and discrepancies. A

large portion of the analyst's job includes identifying inventory losses, overages, and shortages

by compiling data in an organized way, docwnenting and evaluating inventory reports, drawing

conclusions to improve inventory systems, and rotating stock as necessary.

Inventory Analyst Responsibilities:

• Keep track of raw materials, inco1ning deliveries, and stock in order to prevent shortages of

supply and manage unexpected shortages

• Reconcile inventory differences between physical stock and digital data

• Review incoming orders

• Performing regular inventory counts.

• Drafting inventory reports that document inventory counts, discrepancies, and other statistical

data.

• Reporting inventory statistics to management and suggesting hnprove1nents to inventory control.

• Creating and maintaining inventory databases and systems for accurately managing inventory.

Inventory Analyst Requirements:

Excellent communication skills both written and verbal Excellent organizational skills.

Experience with databases and spreadsheets.

Inventory Analyst education and training requirements:

There are no specific education or training requirements for the Inventory Analyst position.

However, candidates are expected to have at least a secondary school dipl01na and baseline of

knowledge in inventory management. Completion of specialized training courses in management,

inventory management, or computer software is considered a strong asset in a candidate. Candidates

with a bachelor's degree in business ad1ninistration or 1nanagement can be considered as

exceptional candidates for the position.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
