Position Summary
Identify and dispense stockroom parts, receive orders, write requisitions, and record parts usage on a computerized system. Responsible for working with inventory levels, generating orders for stockroom parts, and updating maintenance timecard data to work orders. This entails using a computerized system to perform many of these tasks. Perform duties within all safe, sanitary, and good housekeeping guidelines.
Position Responsibilities
- Maintain stock inventory within minimum and maximum quantity limits.
- Write requisitions for purchasing and ordering spare parts.
- Work with vendors and purchasing department in expediting orders and purchases.
- Maintain automatic reordering system for inventory parts.
- Notify supervisor when their order has arrived.
- Unload deliveries with a forklift, preferred but not required.
- Receive and inspect all items coming into the plant.
- Restock and rearrange stockroom parts, when necessary, inside and outside the stockroom for expansion or downsizing.
- Maintain stockroom in a clean and orderly manner.
- Modify and approve the Reorder Report for Stockroom to prepare it for the Purchasing Department.
- Input new items into the Inventory Stock System.
- Assist supervisors in purchasing and ordering spare parts and supplies.
- Work with inventory to adjust minimum/maximum levels to reduce inventory levels and decrease stock outages.
- Input timecard data into the Maintenance Management System to update labor to equipment.
- Make revisions and additions to the Equipment Identification Number Log.
- Update technical library.
- Update Preventative Maintenance program in the Maintenance Management System.
- Enter in the computer: daily usage, receipts, additions, and deletions of stockroom parts for approval; requisitions pertaining to the Maintenance Department; spare parts inventory for approval.
- Generate reports when necessary.
- Ship stockroom items when necessary.
- Maintain hazardous waste program and Safety Data Sheet (SDS) books for Maintenance Department.
- Work with environmental coordinator onsite concerning hazardous materials.
- Pick up parts off-site, when necessary.
- Work with other departments to minimize problem areas.
- Other duties may be assigned.

Position Requirements
- Experience in stockroom ordering and inventory, preferably in a food manufacturing facility.
- System Analysis Program (SAP) experience highly preferred.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read, write and speak English. Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.
- Ability to read, write and speak Spanish preferred but not required.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
- Experience on Excel and Word software.
- Familiar with computerized inventory and requisition systems, and maintenance parts for food processing equipment.
- Ability to work with vendors by phone and in person.
