SUMMARY
Responsible for ensuring that incoming materials are received, properly stored, and issued to end-users. Assures that Sales Orders and Stock Transfers are filled in and shipped according to Standard Operating Procedures.

Duties

Receives materials from Manufacturing and Receiving.

Issues materials from Stores to Manufacturing; and makes internal deliveries.

Supports Materials department during peak periods, service Production Control requests, and other duties.

Tasks require walking, sitting, bending, reaching, mobility, frequent lifting and pushing/pulling. Work requires computer skills (word processing, spreadsheet, and data-entry), attention to detail and accuracy. Communication skills including listening and speaking are required for interaction with other employees, vendors, and customers. Strong interpersonal skills, the ability to balance multiple tasks and any stress associated with the duties and responsibilities of this position are essential requirements in the performance of this job.

General Qualifications:

Accurately input and extract data/information using basic computer/system skills.

Ability to read Sales Orders, Stock Transfers, and Job Packets to pull required materials from stores.

Able to work overtime and six days per week when required.
Education and/or Experience
Any combination of education, training and experience equivalent to graduation from High School, or that would provide required knowledge, skill and ability to successfully perform the assigned job duties.
Language Skills
Ability to read, write and speak English language sufficient to understand and communicate with co-workers. Must have excellent verbal and written skills.
Mathematical Skills
Good math skills, in order to precisely measure, weigh and count materials to ensure accurate inventory. Required to use handheld calculator.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to learn and apply safe handling procedures for hazardous chemicals and materials.
Ability to understand MSDS requirements and their safe applications.

TOOLS AND/OR EQUIPMENT
WORK ENVIRONMENT
70% inside, open warehouse environment, and 30% outside-yard environment; where temperatures during the year range from very cold (20s) in the winter, to very hot (110 ) in the summer This position requires work in factory settings.
Position requires clean, hazard free clothing; plus good personal-hygiene standards.
Frequently, lifting up to 50 pounds, and occasional lifting up to 100 pounds with assistance. Must wear safety glasses and hearing protection where required, and face shield while building crates and while using packaging foam equipment.
