Summary :

Great things are happening at Metal Sales, the nation's largest manufacturer of metal roofing and building systems. Our Temple, TX plant has an opening for an Inventory Control Clerk (we call this position Buyouts).

This position assists in maintaining accurate and sufficient product inventory levels and organization. Routine tasks include : receiving finished product from the Production team and outside suppliers, organizing and accurately accounting for inventory and product pulled for customer orders, and performing cycle counts on inventory.

This position also provides stellar customer service to internal and external customers.

This is a permanent full-time position with a comprehensive benefits package.

You’ll be responsible for (but not limited to) :

• Receiving, documenting with accuracy, and organizing incoming finished product.
• Pulling inventory for customer orders (by following FIFO process) and meeting tight shipping deadlines.
• Monitoring accessory item inventory and relaying inventory issues to management.
• Maintaining stock item min / max levels and advising management of stock level concerns and / or needs.
• Assisting to reconcile inventory related issues as needed and performing random and scheduled audits and counts on inventory items - adjusting system counts as needed based on physical count results.
• Tracking cycle count adjustments to identify trends and working collaboratively with other teams / departments to determine best practices for continuous improvement.
• Quality Control outbound customer orders to ensure accuracy.
• Maintaining a safe, organized, and clean workspace / inventory site.
• Performing project work and other tasks as directed by management.

The most qualified candidates will have :

• Physical inventory experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Excellent math skills such as multiplication, division, fractions, and decimals
• Solid computer skills, including Microsoft Office (specifically intermediate level functions within Excel), and other software programs and applications
• Extremely accurate data entry abilities and attention to detail
• High School diploma or equivalent
