Job Purpose
The inventory control manager is responsible for ensuring that the company’s materials and products meet all their specifications. They locate key suppliers and negotiate purchasing agreement with them on behalf of the company to get higher quality goods at the lowest prices possible. In addition, they are overseeing the ordering, storing, receiving and distributing process of products and supplies. They control the flow of supplies and equipment, tracking and analyzing inventory and develop protocols for loss mitigation. Duties and assignments may overlap depending on the operational needs of the department.
