This position is focused on driving production area improvements with lean manufacturing techniques. Your Responsibilities: Supervising shipping and receiving staff: Managing and leading a team, including assigning tasks, providing training, and ensuring productivity. Inventory management: Tracking and controlling inventory levels, ensuring accuracy, and organizing storage to optimize space. Conduct daily inventory analysis to solve inventory problems. Identify and resolve root causes of inventory losses. Shipping and receiving: Managing the shipment and receipt of goods, including inspecting products for quality and compliance with orders. Safety and compliance: Enforcing safety protocols, maintaining compliance with regulations, and addressing any safety concerns. Inventory documentation: Keeping records of inventory, shipments, and receipts, and using software or systems to track items. Problem-solving: Resolving operational issues, such as delays, damaged goods, or discrepancies in inventory. Quality control: Ensuring products meet quality standards and handling returns or damaged items appropriately. Communication: Collaborating with other departments and management to coordinate logistics and inventory needs. Your Background: A bachelor’s degree or high diploma in relevant field. Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States. Proficiency in both spoken and written English language is required. Preferred Qualification: Experience in implementing lean material flow in a manufacturing environment. Adept at IT systems and Microsoft Office products – Excel, Power Point, Word, and Visio Experience with SAP or similar ERP system.
