What you’ll do

As the Inventory Control Supervisor for Utilimaster (A Shyft Group Brand) based at our facility in Landisville, PA, will be accountable for providing servant leadership to the Inventory Control department and for articulating clear expectations to your team.

You will also be involved with assigning duties and monitoring your teams' quality of work. In addition, you will also supervise the control of physical inventory and conducting cycle counts for the plant and manage all aspects of the day-to-day inventory control department.

You will also be accountable for:

• Managing an Inventory Control team and processing approvals related to vacation, timecards, and overtime
• Partnering alongside our Talent Acquisition team to hire new employees
• Collaborate with HR to train new employees
• Identifying, documenting, and implementing opportunities for continuous improvement projects
• Assuming full control over the Annual Physical Inventory in the areas of coordination, scheduling, and planning
• Staying abreast of all operating systems pertaining to the materials and manufacturing
• Partnering with IST to integrate the systems required to optimize inventory accuracy
• Overseeing all cycle count activity by establishing standards for productivity, reliability, and accuracy
• Revamping policies, procedures, and processes that will be standardized and recorded in the system
• Reconciling all production orders and inventory transactions
• Ensuring that materials are consumed properly
• Monitoring customer requirements and changes and communicating to inventory control
• Maintaining inventory accuracy at 97% or above
• Implementing timely corrective actions for failures in transactions and processes
• Performing inventory validation, settlements, and directing inventory reconciliation activities
• Ensuring your team is trained on organizational policies and procedures and government regulations

• High school diploma/GED
• 2 years of materials supervision/management expertise within a complex materials environment
• Detailed knowledge of manufacturing planning, cycle counting, inventory control, and materials requirements planning
• A robust history of managing and improving planning, logistics, and inventory control processes, with experience in transitioning to a different MRP system
• Accomplished in performing the duties and tasks of your subordinates
• Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems, Microsoft Office, and PC network applications
• A reputation for communicating effectively with cross-functional teams, customers, and suppliers
