Inventory Control Supervisor supervises inventory control operations and teams according to established policies. Follows standard procedures that maximize inventory management efficiency. Being an Inventory Control Supervisor assists with inventory planning, scheduling, forecasting, and control operations. Utilizes Inventory tools and systems for tracking, analysis, auditing, and reporting. Additionally, Inventory Control Supervisor collaborates with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to implement and support initiatives to optimize inventory capabilities using best inventory management practices. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Inventory Control Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be an Inventory Control Supervisor typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.     Job Summary
    The Inventory Control Specialist will maintain the organization's inventory, ordering and supplying necessary items while maintaining accurate records of all procurements.

    Duties/Responsibilities
    • Inspect returned merchandise
    • Track incoming and outgoing products
    • Loading and unloading deliveries
    • Provides inventory reports to the purchasing administrator.
    • Develops and maintains good working relationships with vendors.
    • Maintains accurate daily records of goods received and shipments made.
    • Manages and maintains inventory system; facilitates upgrades to related databases and/or software under the direction of the purchasing administrator.
    • Conducts frequent spot and partial audits of physical inventory.
    • Assists with monthly physical inventory audits.
    • Maintain safety while using equipment and tools
    • Operates forklift truck when necessary.
    • Warehouse workflow management
    • Warehouse safety program management 
    • Performs other related duties as requested.
    Required Skills/Abilities
    • Excellent communication skills with warehouse workers, the purchasing department, and outside vendors.
    • Basic understanding of inventory control procedures.
    • Proficient keyboarding skills.
    • Extremely organized and able to work with minimum supervision.
    • Ability to develop professional relationships with outside vendors.
    • Ability to perform basic math calculations.
    Education and Experience
    • Supply Chain Management/ Logistics degree or equivalent required
    • Experience with computerized inventory systems is required.
    • Forklift operator certification is preferred.
    Physical Requirements
    • Prolonged periods are sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
    • Must be able to lift to 40 pounds at times.
    • Must be able to navigate the warehouse and reach high and low items.
