    Receiving Supervisor Description :

    Store Supply Warehouse is looking for a dedicated individual to join our team as a Receiving / Inventory Control Supervisor, at our Bridgeton, MO location.

    As a Receiving / Inventory Control Supervisor, you will be primarily responsible for the accurate and timely receipt of inventory and maintaining inventory control in the warehouse, as well as, assisting with production matters if needed, that include picking and packing orders, replenishment, loading / unloading, and other duties in a fast-paced environment.

    Receiving / Inventory Control Supervisor Responsibilities :

    • Consistently acting in the best interest of both the Company and its customers
    • Management of warehouse personnel, primarily in the receiving department.
    • Primary focus is receiving and inventory control
    • Knowing, performing, and, overseeing all aspects of the warehouse receiving, replenishment, put away, loading / unloading trailers, receiving, and inventory control
    • Adheres to cycle count program to insure inventory accuracy
    • Ensures warehouse is run safely (OSHA compliant), reporting any unsafe conditions / equipment to the manager and Human Resources Manager
    • Reports daily on employee performance and accuracy
    • Communicating effectively with individuals / teams to ensure high quality and timely expedition of receiving and put away of product in the warehouse
    • Contributing ideas on ways to resolve problems to better improve productivity
    • Interfacing with a variety of internal departments
    • Organizing, planning and prioritizing work duties
    • Maintaining a courteous and positive relationship with fellow employees
    • Entering needed data into computer for order processing on a constant basis
    • Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment and storage areas in order to ensure compliance with safety regulations
    • Examining and inspecting stock items for wear or defects, reporting damages to manager
    • Operating forklift and reach truck
    • Accurately sort and stack product according to labels
    • Effectively pushing / pulling carts throughout warehouse containing product
    • Performing other duties assigned by management

    Qualifications

    Receiving / Inventory Control Supervisor Qualifications :

    • High School Diploma or a GED is required
    • Warehouse experience of 3 years or more with emphasis on receiving
    • A strong work ethic
    • Excellent written and verbal skills
    • Oral comprehension
    • Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations, read and interpret documents, follow procedures, and document information
    • Experience in leading a team and communicating closely with management is a must
    • Ability to work in a quick-paced production environment; troubleshoot and take corrective action to resolve problems, if necessary
    • Ability to work overtime and weekends / holiday when necessary
    • Reach truck experience is a plus
    • Willingness to maintain a safe and ethical work environment, and work as an effective team member
    • Being reliable, accountable and responsible for own actions
    • Dependability, self-control, and cooperation
    • Ability to lift or push / pull objects up to 75 pounds
    • Being honest, ethical, and display a positive attitude
    • Capability to stand / walk for a minimum of eight hours per day
    • Ability to lift, turn, bend, reach, pull, and walk
    • Tolerate a hot / cold environment (varied climate)
    • Ability to constantly manipulate objects with fingers and hands
    • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
