Investment Analyst is responsible for the evaluation of investment activities such as short-term debt securities, long-term equity, investment projects and objectives. Analyzes investment opportunities and recommends investments as appropriate. Being an Investment Analyst may help to evaluate stock investment and major projects for high-level analysis. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Investment Analyst typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Investment Analyst contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Appraisal can be based on any combination of the following: Investigation, oral exam and/or rating of the application.Should an oral exam be necessary, the oral exam will be weighted at 100%.Applicants must attain at least a 70% score on each phase of the examination process.
Minimum Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a closely related field.
Possession of, or progress toward, a master's degree in Business Administration or a closely related field, Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation, or Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designation is desirable.Possess and maintain a valid California Class C Driver's License.
