Analyzes investment opportunities and recommends investments as appropriate. Being an Investment Analyst may help to evaluate stock investment and major projects for high-level analysis. JOB SUMMARY
Review trust department account portfolios and individual securities held in accounts. Perform daily trust administration and investment duties regarding bank policies and regulatory requirements. Participate in making decisions and recommendations to appropriate parties and the Trust Investment Committee. Coordinate the activities of the trust officer to ensure that approved accounting, administration, record retention, and computer-processing functions are executed daily.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Perform Administrative, Synoptic and Investment reviews on Trust Department accounts periodically ensuring bank policies and regulatory requirements are met.
2. Analyze reports and investment information from external research and consult with brokers and investment representatives.
3. Recommend investment strategy and action to the Senior Trust Officer and Trust Investment Committee.
4. Execute security trades for Trust Department Accounts.
5. Organize portfolios and scan new/closed accounts.
6. Assist Senior Trust Officer in developing new business opportunities.
7. Prepare and present reports for monthly Trust Investment Committee meetings.
8. Compile reports for monthly Trust Committee meetings.
9. Complete general customer transactions and distribute correspondence and ticket entries to Trust Operations and other bank departments.
10. Prepare and mail new business correspondence.
11. File recurring updates to Trust reference manuals.
12. Assist in inventory procedures of safekeeping vault.
13. Participate in community organizations and projects.
14. Learn Trust Operations tasks as emergency backup.
15. Any other job duties assigned by the Senior Trust Officer or Trust Operations Supervisor.
ORGANIZATION AND RELATIONSHIPS
Work with the Senior Trust Officer, Trust Operations Supervisor and Trust Operations Clerk in a manner which accomplishes the objectives of the Trust Department and contributes to the development of work procedures and systems. Responsible for working with all employees within the Trust Department in a courteous and polite manner.
QUALIFICATIONS
Previous Trust Department experience a plus.
