Investment Analyst analyzes and researches financial markets, securities, and investment products to assess risks, evaluate potential returns, and make informed investment decisions for an organization. Collects and researches economic data, financial metrics, and market conditions to develop and build financial models, forecasts, and investment strategies. Being an Investment Analyst monitors and analyzes portfolio performance, asset allocation, and risk exposure to ensure alignment with the organization's investment objectives, strategies, and risk tolerance levels. Prepares investment reports and analyses on investment opportunities or strategies to identify trends and recommend actions for the organization. Additionally, Investment Analyst utilizes mathematical formulas and statistical analyses to identify potential or alternative investments and calculate and evaluate financial health, returns, and fair value of securities, assets, or other investments. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Investment Analyst work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Zions Wealth Management is a specialized division within the bank that offers comprehensive financial services to affluent, high-net-worth individuals, families, and businesses. These services often include personalized investment strategies, financial planning, estate and tax planning, succession planning, and risk management. The primary goal of a wealth management group is to help clients grow and preserve their wealth while providing expert guidance to navigate complex financial situations and achieve their long-term financial objectives. Zions Wealth Management is a strategic focus for the Zions Bancorporation, an organization that expands across eight affiliate banks in the Western United States.
We are currently seeking a Wealth Management, Investment Analyst to join our team. This position is located in Salt Lake City, Utah, and reports up to the Wealth Management Portfolio Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Provide monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad-hoc reporting to assist stakeholders in analyzing risk and addressing needs.
- Support trading team through new account process and account analysis.
- Support portfolio management team through reporting, due diligence, and other needs.
- Working with wealth advisors and portfolio managers in providing client performance packages.
- Proactively assist trading team to identify and address concerns.
- Review reports and data sets and be able to organize and provide reports for review by trading team, committees, and management.
- Support the management of client investment portfolios for high-net worth individual and institutional clients.
- Monitor client rebalancing needs and help support trade desk as needed.
- Experienced in mutual funds, ETFs, separately managed accounts.
- Work effectively as part of a team in an investment advice driven business model.
- Responsible for completing investment projects as assigned, evaluating market trends, and analyzing securities.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Requires a Bachelors Degree
- 2 years of directly related experience.
- Strong analytical, organizational, communication and problem-solving skills required.
