About the Position:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and cleaning all equipment, buildings, and grounds of the facility as scheduled to preserve structural integrity and overall upkeep. This is for a 24-unit apartment community designed exclusively for low-income seniors, age 62 and above, or households with disability at any age. The property is located in Brookings, OR. This position requires solid maintenance knowledge and skills. Experience in property management is helpful.
Responsibilities:
Daily inspection of grounds, parking lots, and common areas
Repair minor problems of buildings and foundations including the roof, ceilings, walls, floors, basements, and all mechanical contents of the building
Communicate any health and/or safety concerns/violations, unusual and/or any unusual or hazardous situations immediately to management
Monitor maintenance/repair related supplies and deliver and/or pick up supplies when needed
Apply general knowledge of carpentry, HVAC, heating, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, welding, painting, security and sprinkler systems, fire alarms, masonry work, and other related skills required to perform maintenance, preventative maintenance, and/or repairs
Qualifications:
At least 3 years of maintenance technician experience
Knowledge of basic maintenance (painting, carpentry, drywall, plumbing, electrical, etc.)
Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Computer literacy required
An HVAC certificate is helpful but not required
