Assistant Managers’ are certified and proficient in all areas of store operations and responsible for overseeing teammates and ensuring that all policies, procedures, and services are performed to Jiffy Lube’s highest standards. They also ensure that all teammates are technically proficient, and all certification standards are up to date. In addition to overseeing the store in the absence of the Store Manager, the Assistant Manager sets an example as a leader, focusing on the career development of teammates, and provides consistent guidance and direction. These are our resident experts who ensure quality workmanship to get our guests back on the road. This is an important job in our Jiffy Lube stores and critical to our success. Assistant Manager Qualifications

Previous experience is essential and requires a minimum of 1 years with a dealership, automotive shop, tire center or quick lube. Simply put, we're lookin for people who can provide exceptional leadership and the ability to inspire a high-performance team. A high school diploma or GED is required, and for those considering college you can earn credits through Jiffy Lube (Ace Credit) Courses. Also, all J-Team members must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals, as well as be able to speak effectively with our guests and other teammates.

Physical Qualifications

Assistant Managers must expect to stand for long periods of time on hard surfaces, like concrete or metal, and expect to work in an environment in which you may frequently experience hot and cold temperatures, loud noises, and exhaust fumes.

• Must be able to operate equipment such as overhead and floor mounted oil and grease guns, transmission machine, air conditioner service machine, radiator service machine, hand tools and basic shop equipment

• Must be able to lift and move work-related items up to 25 pounds

• Must be able to push, pull, lift, and bend at the knees and waist, twist body at the waist, raise and hold arms overhead, and turn head-neck-shoulders as needed

Requirements

• Assistant Managers are responsible for performing Jiffy Lubes Signature Service Oil Change; inspect and service fluids, filters, headlamps, wipers, tire rotations and other minor services as business requires

• Providing store-level leadership to teammates through coaching and training

• Face to face interaction with the quests, including problem resolution

• Take initiatives to increase sales, improve store profitability and reduce expenses

• Manage store inventory and product ordering and receiving

• Have a valid driver’s license and authorized to work in the US

• Complete all required training courses through Jiffy Lube University

• Ensure that the service center is clean, orderly, and presentable
