Position Summary:
The Portfolio Manager position works with individual, family and/or trust account clients and manages investment relationships consistent with the established investment objectives and strategies of HORAN Wealth and/or the client. As a Portfolio Manager, you will advise clients on current and proposed asset allocation, portfolio strategy, specific investment rationale, as well as general economic and capital market events. The Portfolio Manager contributes to the investment strategy process for the firm’s clients and is responsible for individual security research. Opportunity for ownership long-term.
Core Responsibilities:
- Contributes to the development and implementation of investment portfolio strategies and model portfolios.
- Research responsibilities encompass one or more economic sector(s), along with various industry and company coverage.
- Research responsibilities should draw primarily from the HORAN Wealth’s research universe to successfully identify portfolio, sector, and security strategies for client portfolios.
- Manages and constructs personal and institutional investment portfolios designed to achieve client financial goals.
- A strong focus on managing client account retention and shared responsibility for soliciting, developing, managing, and retaining client relationships for HORAN Wealth consistent with the HORAN Wealth’s growth objectives.
- Investment research is a dual responsibility and includes conducting investment analysis leading to recommendations for the firm's equity, fixed income, and alternative investment portfolios.
- Contributes to decision making at the strategy and portfolio level through our team decision making process.
Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of investment management and overall securities market experience, including equity research and servicing affluent/high-net-worth and institutional clientele.
- CFA Designation preferred.

- Demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
