The Investment Specialist role is within the Kestra Investment Management (KIM) division of Kestra Holdings and will report to the VP, Head of Investment Specialists.
As the Investment Specialist, you will partner directly with financial professionals within Kestra’s distribution channels: Kestra Financial, Kestra Private Wealth Services, and Bluespring Wealth Partners. You will be responsible for driving sales to KIM’s investment solutions, along with follow-ups that include education on the models, portfolio construction, service, and any additional support. The Investment Specialist will identify, and advocate advisor requests, needs and support within the Investment team to help expand our offering.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Reach out and present to financial professionals to introduce and educate them on investment offerings and solutions offered.
- Build and manage relationships with the advisors to understand their investment philosophy and needs to identify areas where partnering with KIM can provide value to help grow their business.
- Build relationships with advisor facing home office employees for lead generation and opportunities to grow AUM.
- Discuss and provide advice to advisors and clients on the investment catalog, portfolio analysis, portfolio construction and trade commentary related to the market outlook.
- Field incoming requests for information, support, and analysis to directly support end clients.
- Run the sales process to onboard new accounts with KIM solutions to build our business.

- Undergraduate degree from a four-year accredited college or university.
- 5 years of experience in wealth management required, experience working with independent advisors preferred.
- Investment-related technology and tools: Morningstar Direct, Fact Set.
- Portfolio construction using model portfolios and strategies for investment recommendations.
- Meeting sales goals and driving results.
- FINRA Series 7 and FINRA Series 66 Required.
Internal applicants must be in good standing and have a minimum of 1 year of service with Kestra. Internal applicants must also have a minimum of 1 year service in current role unless approved by EVP.
