Investor Accountant
(a) Interact with private investors, trustees, government agencies and internal parties regarding bond payments, loan reporting and collateral issues on mortgage-backed securities administrated by Fannie Mae, SBA, et al. (b) Data collection, summarization and posting to various servicing support systems. 40%
Control, review and analyze all investor loan activity on a regular and on-going basis, to assure loan system accuracy and compliance with participation and servicing agreements. Observe, understand, and ensure department compliance with all USAP requirements, especially as related to investor bank accounts and investor reporting/accounting 40%
Enhance/establish written procedures for CMBS, SBA and Fannie Mae investor reporting and remitting requirements. Continue to improve the documentation process within team for investor reports. 10%
Support loan operations area and general loan accounting through participation in special projects as well as cross-training in various critical functions. 10%
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor degree in business, accounting, finance or relevant experience in investor reporting/accounting.
Two year’s investor accounting/investor reporting experience, preferred; as well as general mortgage banking experience required
Excellent customer service skills
Knowledge and experience with mortgage banking and its terminology
Excellent analytical skills
Problem analysis and resolution skills
