POSITION SUMMARY: 

The Director of Investor Relations is responsible for managing the Investor Relations Team and directing the capital raising initiatives. In addition, effectively build relationships and communicate opportunities to prospective investors.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Lead, manage and hold accountable the team (player/coach) 
• Manage relationships with our prospective investors 
• Proactively solicit investor feedback regarding investments to better develop our platform 
• Work with the service team to ensure that all investor requests/inquiries are managed appropriately 
• Maintain and communicate accurate records regarding investor activities 
• Stay abreast of the marketplace and industry trends 
• Guide investors to interact with deal rooms and webinars for current offerings. Manage and track investor pipeline 
• Streamline processes and work to achieve efficiency across the department 
• Ensure support processes are follow and improved over time to improve the investor experience 
• Enhance the tools and technology the team uses to be successful 
• Handle certain administrative tasks  
• Guide prospective investors to make introductions to their network about the firm 
• Perform all other duties as assigned 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS: 

• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field; proven industry experience will be acceptable in lieu of degree 
• 5 years of experience managing investor relationships 
• Experience with alternative investment products, particularly private offerings 
• Strong understanding of Commercial Real Estate 
• Strong communication and presentation skills and the ability to explain complex topics in a simple way to a diverse audience 
• Quick learner with aptitude for technology including CRM’s 
• An articulate individual who can relate to people at all levels of an organization and possesses strong customer-facing skills 
• Ability to exercise considerable judgment, maintain confidentiality, and act in a diplomatic manner 
• A well-organized and self-directed individual who is able to work with minimal amount of supervision 
• Experience with or ability to understand financial markets   

WORK ENVIRONMENT: 

Includes a typical office environment, with minimal exposure to excessive noise or adverse environmental issues.  

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 

Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time. Periodic travel.
