Investor Relations Director directs and oversees an organization's investor relations function. Communicates with shareholders and/or the general financial community to develop and maintain positive relationships. Being an Investor Relations Director implements strategies to ensure the organization's relationships with shareholders reflect positively on the company's stock price. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Investor Relations Director typically reports to top management. The Investor Relations Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. To be an Investor Relations Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Ability to read, write and communicate the English language effectively. Ability to speak before large groups in person, by radio and television. Ability to travel to various locations in order to participate in public meetings, conferences, etc. Ability and willingness to conduct all duties in accordance with the ministry of the organization and its Christian principles; conducts all communications and job duties with the highest level of professionalism. Duties are usually performed seated.  Sitting may be relieved by brief or occasional periods of standing or walking. Limited amount of physical effort required associated with walking, standing, lifting and carrying light objects (less than 25 lbs.) frequently.
