Investor Relations Manager oversees communication and nurtures relationship with shareholders. Handles shareholder requests for information. Being an Investor Relations Manager plans the annual meeting and meeting documents, such as the annual report and the proxy statement, in accordance with SEC regulations. Supervises and directs subordinates staff. Additionally, Investor Relations Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Investor Relations Manager typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.
