Being a Janitorial Supervisor orders, stocks and replenishes supplies, and provides the tools and equipment needed to perform required maintenance. May require a high school diploma. Additionally, Janitorial Supervisor typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Working team member that may validate or coordinate the work of others on a support team. Suggests improvements to process, is a knowledge resource for other team members. Has no authority for staff actions. Generally has a minimum of 2 years experience as an individual contributor. More importantly, we are here to help!JOB SUMMARYWorksource is looking for a Bilingual Special Services Supervisor to join an established Des Moines based company how values quality customer service and has a proven eye for detail. You will be responsible for the hiring, supervision, training, and coordination of the special services teams and ensuring work orders from clients are complete each night.JOB FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITES- Responsible for day-to-day operations of Specials Services Floor maintenance crew
- Work Schedule: 5pm - 1:30am, Must be flexible.
- Maintain Client relations
- Take work orders and communications from office to team members and ensure completion.
- Cover regular cleaning duties when needed
- May include: Application and removal of acrylic floor finish, Burnishing hard surface flooring, Carpet cleaning
- Application and removal of Urethane floor finish.
- Pressure washing, High dusting of rafters and other surfaces over 6’, Hazmat clean-up
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITES:- Bilingual English/Spanish is required.
- 1-2 years Supervisor experience (must have)
- 1-2 years janitorial/floor care experience
- Valid Driver’s license and good driving record
- Ability to follow oral and written instruction.
- Must be able to lift 40 lbs on a daily basis without assistance.
- Able to work independently and be productive.
