Janitorial Supervisor supervises the cleaning and maintenance of buildings/facilities. Trains and supervises the custodial staff to maintain an orderly, safe, and efficient cleaning operation. Being a Janitorial Supervisor orders, stocks and replenishes supplies, and provides the tools and equipment needed to perform required maintenance. May require a high school diploma. Additionally, Janitorial Supervisor typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Working team member that may validate or coordinate the work of others on a support team. Suggests improvements to process, is a knowledge resource for other team members. Has no authority for staff actions. Generally has a minimum of 2 years experience as an individual contributor. Job Duties:
- To lead and to supervise associates.
- Ensure that janitorial work and floor projects are completed within required standards.
- Employee training and counseling
- Conduct Inspections
- Assist with interviews and onboarding process.
Qualifications:
- Ability to lead and supervise.
- Ability to be standing and/or walking for extended periods of time.
- Previous supervisory experience required.
- A strong work ethic
- The ability to work alone or within a team is a must.
- Forklift experience preferred but not required.
- Steel toe shoes required.
- Must pass plant required testing to be considered for employment.
MUST pass drug screen and background check.
