Janitorial Supervisor supervises the cleaning and maintenance of buildings/facilities. Trains and supervises the custodial staff to maintain an orderly, safe, and efficient cleaning operation. Being a Janitorial Supervisor orders, stocks and replenishes supplies, and provides the tools and equipment needed to perform required maintenance. May require a high school diploma. Additionally, Janitorial Supervisor typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Working team member that may validate or coordinate the work of others on a support team. Suggests improvements to process, is a knowledge resource for other team members. Has no authority for staff actions. Generally has a minimum of 2 years experience as an individual contributor. Pay is $13.00 - $14.00/hour based on experience with a pay increase based on performance.
This position will be about 9 hours/pay period.
Generalization of duties:
· Sweep or vacuum debris and dust/wet mop all floors
· Clean, disinfect, and restock bathrooms
· Collect dirty dishes and trash from desks and common areas
· Report damages
· Prepare meeting spaces
· Empty trash and recycling bins and replace liners
· Restock supplies (soap, paper towels, etc)
· Organize supply areas
· Dust backs of chairs and straighten
· Wipe down horizontal surfaces
