Janitorial Supervisor jobs in Virginia Beach, VA
Janitorial Supervisor supervises the cleaning and maintenance of buildings/facilities. Trains and supervises the custodial staff to maintain an orderly, safe, and efficient cleaning operation. Being a Janitorial Supervisor orders, stocks and replenishes supplies, and provides the tools and equipment needed to perform required maintenance. May require a high school diploma. Additionally, Janitorial Supervisor typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Working team member that may validate or coordinate the work of others on a support team. Suggests improvements to process, is a knowledge resource for other team members. Has no authority for staff actions. Generally has a minimum of 2 years experience as an individual contributor. Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards within our facilities. Responsibilities: - Perform general cleaning tasks such as dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming - Clean and sanitize restrooms and replenish supplies - Empty trash receptacles and transport waste to disposal areas - Maintain cleanliness of common areas including hallways, lobbies, and break rooms - Perform floor care duties including buffing, waxing, and polishing floors - Assist with custodial duties as needed - Follow all health and safety regulations Experience: - Proven experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial services - Knowledge of industrial cleaning equipment and techniques - Ability to maintain a clean and organized work environment - Experience in facilities maintenance is a plus - Strong attention to detail and time management skills Join our team as a Janitor and contribute to creating a clean and safe environment for our staff and visitors.
