JavaScript Developer

Overview

We are seeking an experienced JavaScript developer proficient with React.js. The primary focus of the role is to drive the development of front-end components. You will be responsible for high quality, performant deliverables and for helping to create, evangelize, and enforce the standards necessary to meet team and company goals for the customer experience.

About the Job

• Create, socialize, and champion tools, processes, and standards to deliver high quality, performant front-end components and solutions
• Review product requirements and designs. Provide actionable feedback
• Develop and implement reusable, high quality, highly responsive components for both web and mobile using react concepts
• Troubleshoot and resolve front-end issues in a maintainable, resilient, performant manner
• Translate wireframes and designs/requirements into high quality, maintainable code
• Analyze and recommend suggestions for UX usability and performance
• Work to define interfaces with partner teams and engineers
• Work with QA to embed testability wherever possible
• Participate in multi-resource projects in an agile, team-driven environment
• Evaluate/recommend industry standards, tools, and methods
• Constantly improve through the use of best practices, tools, approaches
• Provide accurate estimations for implementation from requirements/design
• Document software design and contribute to design reviews

About You

• Bachelors degree (computer science or related) or equivalent experience
• At least 3 years of experience in front-end development using JavaScript
• At least 3 years of experience using React
• Experience with node.js a plus
• Experience in defining interfaces and implementing/consuming web services
• Proficiency in CSS and HTML
• Excellent presentation, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills (including technical writing)
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to consistently set and meet timelines for programming assignments
• Complete tasks independently as well as work well within a team environment
• Ability to eagerly take on the most challenging projects as well as help resolve problems reported while working in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
• Experience working in a Scrum/agile environment
