The Opportunity and How You'll Impact Benjamin:

• This PART TIME, flexible role is tasked with working in close concert with Management, CAD designers and production manager to execute design and machining projects, increase productivity and optimizing machining programs and procedures. You are expected to have a comprehensive understanding of all CNC machining and programming operations including CAD/CAM programming.
• Projects include using CAD>CAM>CNC process to design and machine wood vacuum hold-down jigs/fixtures w gasketing, programs for trimming plastic formed sheets and designing new products and as well as design, machine and build custom molds
• You will use Fusion or another CAD program to modify or create designs, convert to G-Code on a Camaster CNC table router and maintain revision control on programs and setup sheets
• You are knowledgeable of CAD programs and CNC tools and adjusting speed and feed parameters for maximum tool life
• You will make or offer suggestions on drawing changes to improve manufacturability
• You will machine your own fixture tooling
• You will manage project priorities, keep projects moving forward to completion and consistently meet expectations for productivity and production goals
• You will provide consistent ideas for process improvements
• You are comfortable with all types of drilling, tapping and milling and turning and are able to complete machining operations from blueprints, drawings and/or verbal instructions
• You are comfortable working with complex, tight tolerance parts and various materials

About You:

• High school diploma, associate degree, or equivalent certificate
• 5 years of experience in set up, operation and/or programming of CNC table router or enclosed CNC Router
• Experience programming in Fusion or similar autocad programs and generating and editing G-Code
• Strong practical experience/skills in making fixtures, jigs and finding best way to trim parts
• Strong communication skills and ability to read and provide feedback on technical documents
• Ability to train operators how to setup and run machines
• Ability to lift 50 lbs unassisted
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to stoop, bend, crawl, and being able to maneuver in tight spaces
• Repetitive movement, bending or twisting, using hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools or controls, exposure to sounds and noise levels that are distracting

Desired Multipliers:

• Experience in a startup development environment
• Experience transitioning parts from first article to production
• Spanish language is a plus but not required
