Summary

This is an entry-level position where prior experience is not required; plenty of on-the-job training is provided. Must have fine motor skills for handling small parts, ability to work quickly and accurately with a good work ethic, good attendance, and good collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Read instructions, work orders, diagrams, and wire lists to determine materials needed
• Assemble cables according to blueprint specifications
• Attach ends of wires to components, plugs, or terminal strip, using soldering iron or crimping device
• Perform processes to complete mechanical and electrical assemblies and sub-assemblies, using hand tools, and conduct continuity and resistance testing
• Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department lead
• Maintain clean and orderly work area and equipment
• Follow prescribed safety regulations and demonstrate company's four key values
• Complete tasks as directed by manufacturing schedules with minimum supervision
• A skilled wire-cutting operator with set up experience in terminating and Komax machines

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Skilled with hand tools and fine motor skills for handling small parts
• Ability to interpret written, oral, diagram, and/or schedule instructions
• Ability to read, interpret, and use documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manual
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, and use fractions
• Well-developed interpersonal communication skills

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or GED
• 6 months manufacturing experience, preferred though not required, plenty of on-the-job training will be provided

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
