Here at Explore Industries, we are seeking a Mold and Plug Builder to join our Manufacturing team. This onsite position is in Knoxville, TN, on our Corporate and Manufacturing Island Campus.

A Fiberglass Mold and Plug Builder’s primary responsibilities are to work with the team to construct, make modifications, repair, and maintain fiberglass swimming pool and spa molds using gauges, cutting tools, jigs, and tooling gels. A Fiberglass Mold and Plug Builder will follow established procedures to apply material by hand and/or machine to produce standard and nonstandard components and products of quality. Builders work with tape measures, table saws, chop saws, sanders, laser level and nail guns.

Required Qualifications (We would like our talented Fiberglass Mold and Plug Builder for this role to have at least these minimum skills & experience)

• Experience and/or the ability to complete tasks in a timely manner.
• Ability to read a tape measure and operate a table and chop saw.
• Ability to spread patties and pull string lines to ensure plugs are straight and square.
• Ability to become familiar with materials and resins used in manufacturing fiberglass reinforced plastics.
• Ability to read and understand procedures and schedules.
• Experience communicating effectively in a team environment.
• Pass a respirator fit test.
• Knowledge of milling machines, surface grinders, related shop equipment, and precision measurement devices.
• Punctuality, dependability, and attention to detail
