Our growing company, based in Thomaston, CT is looking for a Machine Builder to join our team. We are seeking a person who is naturally drawn toward building things- either at work or on their own time- and can demonstrate prior experience with mechanical assembly skills.
This Full-Time position is responsible for building and tuning Aerosol Filling Machinery in Thomaston, and subsequent Installation and Commissioning -as part of our team in the customer's factory.
Responsibilities Include:
· Building of machines and systems using assembly drawings, schematics and other documentation.
· The ability to adjust, tune and optimize performance of a machine or system of machines to meet targeted specifications.
· On-Site installation and startup of machine systems at Customer's factory as a member of a larger team. Time on the road typically totals 5 weeks per year, spent in two or three sessions at a customers facility as part of that larger team.
Experience and Skills needed:
Previous experience with the assembly of Industrial Factory Machinery or similar complex building processes. Automotive Engine Builders, Mechanics, Airframe & Powerplant Mechanics are often a good fit.

* Successful candidates are typically very curious about learning and applying new mechanical ideas and skills.
* Ability to coordinate work with the customer and others using a positive, problem solving outlook and attitude.
* Possession and use of one's own hand tools. power tools and precision measuring instruments are provided. Machine shop skills are a plus.
* Experience with VFDs, 3 phase motors and starters, PLCs, HMI’s, safety circuits, pneumatic controls, hydraulic controls, proximity sensors, and encoders is desired.
