Summary: The Quality Technician role is responsible for maintaining quality and continuous improvement systems and processes. They will work closely with the Shop Team to identify improvement activities, provide inspection, analysis, and corrective action, perform product first article qualification and other projects as assigned.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
· Assist with development and/or maintenance of a Quality Management System
· Document, and assist with, the evaluation of manufacturing and quality issues
· Promote continuous improvement methods such as lean manufacturing to create and sustain positive participation in continuous improvement activities
· Provide inspection services supporting the Shop Floor including product quality, processes, and UL requirements for product labeling
· Manage first article qualifications and inspections, and document the results
· Assist in root cause analysis and recommend changes for improvement
· Control and maintain inspection equipment
· Collaborate with Production, Engineering, CNC Operators, and other internal teams to meet established standards
· Perform all other duties as assigned by the manager
Requirements
Qualifications:
· Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office, CAD viewer, ERP system, and digital photo editing
· Ability to read, analyze, and interpret shop drawings, technical procedures and specifications, and industry standards
· Effectively use measurement devices in English and Metric units for product qualification
· Individual must be detail oriented with the ability to work with minimal supervision; possess self-discipline, and can effectively prioritize multiple tasks
· Ability to handle multiple priorities with a high degree of accuracy, detail, and urgency
· Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal skills
· Individual must be a motivated team player that can add value to a team environment and apply strong problem-solving skills
